CARES
The Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative
The Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative (CARES) was founded in 1999 as a partnership between Scott Hamilton, Olympic ice-skating champion and cancer survivor, and the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center where he was treated. CARES was created to promote cancer awareness while raising significant funds for cancer research.
Key components of CARES include:
- Chemocare.com
- 4th Angel Mentoring Program
- Research Funding
- Annual Ice Show and Gala
Our Mission:
To advance towards the cure of cancer through research and education and to improve the quality of life and support for people affected by cancer.
Our Vision:
The Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative will promote and support world class research and quality care that lead to a cure of cancer. We will empower patients and their families via education and guidance for their journey through cancer treatment and survivorship.
